“ On May 31st 2025 We went up the tramway... The food was good, The weather was perfect, But the views were outstanding! The ride up takes about 15minutes... And in that time you climb about 3700 feet in elevation To a grand height of 8150 feet at the top of the tram! When you get up to the top there is trails you can hike up to that gives you a multiple different views where you can see over 100 miles down valleys and towns... But there was lots of snow so if you want to hike from May through a good part of June you most likely will need good shoes or boots! The restaurant has a limited selection of food but the food is good...Most of us had the meatball sandwich which was really good They also have Soups and chilli and a couple other food items Also For you drinkers they have a good selection of alcoholic beverages or just soda pop in a can...Butt nothing beats the views of Wallowa lake to your right and the Snow cap Mtns straight in front of you!!’ ”
“ You don't come here for the food or service, but for the atmosphere. Stop Mt Howard, you reach this location by taking the tramway from the South end of Wallowa Lake. They have a small selection of food options and a much more robust offering of alcohol. We needed something to add a little weight to our protein shake lunch between activities so we ordered two bagels with cream cheese. Our server was very considerate and gave us a disposable knife since she had heard they often put too much cream cheese on the bagels. We ate the bagels while riding the tram back down to the lake. They used our favorite, an everything bagel, with lots of plain cream cheese. It was delicious. To our surprise, they included several strawberries with our order. It was the perfect combo. If you're not rushing to another activity, this is a great place to just sit and enjoy the views. The views are truly unique. I highly recommend making this trip and enjoying this rare spot for a bite to eat, something to drink, and one of a kind views. ”
“ They actually served the best meal of our stay at Wallowa lake. The portions were perfect, the price was reasonable, and the food was GOOD. Our server was so kind, and attentive. ”
“ They have a fantastic view. We had fun with the deer and squirrels which came right up begging for an adjacent diners’ french fries. Would recommend having a drink up there on a sunny day and taking in the surroundings, it is a unique and fantastic way to view the entire region. ”
“ We only had drinks here but the food that others had looked pretty good. The view is amazing from 8150 ft. Server was very friendly & attentive. ”
“ Hard to beat the view! Witch is most of the reason to go here. We also had great seevice, great weather and good beer. We tried their beer sampler, one of us had the pulled pork sandwith, one had the clam chowder. I had chips and pico the gallo. We did go for a walk around to look at the view witch is awsome. ”
“ I would definitely recommend the tram ride to the top! Its amazing up there! Very photogenic & beautiful views. Its very high elevation so it can be hard to breathe some! Its very worth it though! Its very neat to see the wildlife! The Mountains in the distance are very beautiful too! ”
“ I didn't eat here, but it looks nice. I took pictures of the menu. They even had live entertainment. I'd say handicap available, but it has stairs and no ramp to get to ride the tram up to the top to eat at this restraunt. There were bathrooms provided. Kid friendly. ”
